The Gel Injury Treatment Products contain dry crystals sewn within a cotton drill pad which expand to their usable size when soaked in water for 5-10 minutes. When the pads are chilled down in a freezer or on ice, the expanded gel crystals become extremely cold. The pads slowly lose water over several days, but will resume their former size with re-soaking. The two universal AquaChill gel products also have an attached compression strap.

AquaChill Bruiser Pad

Instructions:
In order to gain the maximum benefits from the AquaChill range of sport injury products it is important that the instructions are followed carefully.
  1. For first time use soak the pad in water for 5 to 10 minutes, Only 2 to 3 minutes for the bruiser. As pad expands spread the gel out evenly along channels. When sufficiently soaked remove from water and pat off excess moisture with a towel.
  2. To achieve maximum cold temperatures for use on sports field etc lay pads out flat in freezer for 1 to 2 hours, then remove and place in chilly bin. Alternatively, place flat in chilly bin and cover with ice for 2 hours prior to use.
  3. Apply AquaChills for 12 to 15 minutes every 90 minutes for the first 72 hours following an injury. If swelling persists, seek advice from your doctor or physiotherapist.
  4. Wash regularly with warm soapy water and rinse off.
  5. Do not place in washing machine and do not tumble dry.
  6. The AquaChill pads will dry out somewhat after a period of time and will require occasional re-soaking in water (usually for 1 hour or more) to return to their original size. If the pads are not used for a long period of time they will completely dry out. In this case they will need to be soaked in water for several hours or overnight.
